    Installing the Secure Digital (SD) Card Slide the SD card into its slot until it clicks into place. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer. Removing the ExpressCard Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. Press in on the ExpressCard to release it from the computer. Slide the ExpressCard out of the computer.

    Remove the screws that secure the left base-corner cover, lift and remove it from the computer. Remove the screws that secure the right base-corner cover, lift and remove it from the computer. Installing the Base-Corner Covers Place the left and right base-corner covers to align with the screw holes on the computer. Tighten the screws to secure the base-corner covers to the computer.

    Removing the Memory Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. Remove: battery base cover Pry the securing clips away from the memory module until it pops-up and remove the memory module from its connector on the system board. Installing the Memory Insert the memory into the memory socket.

Remove the hard-drive caddy from the hard drive. Flex the hard-drive isolation. Peel off the hard-drive isolation from the hard drive.

    Installing the Hard Drive Install the hard-drive isolation on the hard drive. Attach the hard-drive caddy to the hard drive. Tighten the screws to secure the hard-drive caddy to the hard drive. Slide the hard drive into the computer. Tighten the screws to secure the hard drive to the computer. Install the battery.

    Remove the screws that secure the optical-drive latch bracket to the optical drive. Remove the latch bracket from the optical drive. Slide the optical-drive latch in the optical-drive latch bracket.

Remove the processor from the computer. Installing the Processor Align the notches on the processor and the socket, and insert the processor into the socket. Rotate the processor-cam lock in a clockwise direction.

    Using a plastic scribe, pry under the keyboard trim and then along the sides and bottom to release it from the computer. Lift and remove the keyboard trim from the computer. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the palmrest assembly, lift and flip the keyboard to access the keyboard-cable.
