Notes before using the camera under/near water • Make sure that no foreign matter such as sand, hair, or dirt gets inside the battery cover or memory card/connector cover. Even a small amount of foreign matter may lead to water entering the camera.

Cleaning after using the camera under/near water • Always clean the camera with water after use within 60 minutes, and do not open the battery cover or memory card/connector cover before cleaning is finished. Sand or water may get inside places where it cannot be seen. If not rinsed, water-proof performance will be degraded.

Notes on continuous movie recording • It requires a lot of power to perform high quality movie recording or continuous shooting. Therefore, if you continue to shoot, the temperature inside the camera will rise, especially that of the image sensor. In such cases, the camera will turn off automatically because the surface of the camera is heated to a high temperature or the high temperature affects the quality of the images or the internal mechanism of the camera.
Notes on using the camera Functions built into this camera • This camera is compatible with 1080 60p or 50p-format movies. Unlike standard recording modes up to now, which record in an interlacing method, this camera records using a progressive method. This increases the resolution, and provides a smoother, more realistic image.
Sony accessories Use only genuine Sony brand accessories, otherwise it may cause a malfunction. Sony brand accessories may not come to market for some countries or regions. Notes on recording for long periods of time • Depending on the camera and battery temperature, you may be unable to record movies or the power may turn off automatically to protect the camera.
