HP recommends that you use products that are protected by the USB Type-C PD3.1 specification (be sure that they can input 28 V/5 A and have a fire enclosure).

Removal and replacement procedures Adherence to these procedures and precautions is essential for proper service. 2) Pull the release button to remove stand base from display head. 3) Press VESA cover by pushing the red point and remove it. 4) Release four screws to remove hinge ASSY 5) Pull the rear cover on the left & right & top side to release the rear cover.

6) Disconnect all cables and remove the rear cover from the display head. 7) Remove six screws, then release key board and lens housing from the rear cover 8) Remove all AL foil and two speakers by unlocking six screws.

9) Remove all the screws to release the middle frame away from the panel module. 10) Remove four screws for releasing main chassis with the panel. 11) Disconnect the LVDS cables and fan’s cable, then remove the main chassis from the panel. 12) Remove the gasket and four screws, then disconnect all the cables to remove the T-con cover from the chassis.

13) Remove 11pcs (7+4) screws for releasing the interface board and T-Con board. 14) Remove the interface board and T-Con board from two chassis. Connector repair This procedure i includes 2 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, 1 USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt-Mode (upstream), USB Type-C port (upstream), Power connector, 3 USB-A,1 USB-C (downstream), and Phone Jack connectors.

Before repairing connectors, follow these steps: Prepare the monitor for disassembly. See Preparation for disassembly on page 11. ▲ HDMI connector HDMI1 & HDMI2 Repair the HDMI connector: 1) Use a hot air gun to melt the solder on the pins from bottom side. Use a soldering iron and a de-soldering pump to remove as much solder as possible from the pin.

3) Place the new component on the PCB. Be sure that it matches the PCB footprint. 4) Solder the new component. DP connector DP1 Repair the DP connector: 1) Use a hot air gun to melt the solder on the pins from bottom side. Use a soldering iron and a de-soldering pump to remove as much solder as possible from the pin.

3) Place the new component on the PCB. Be sure that it matches the PCB footprint. 4) Solder the new component DC power connector DCIN1 Repair the Power DC connecto: 1) Use a hot air gun to melt the solder on the pins from bottom side. Use a soldering iron and a de-soldering pump to remove as much solder as possible from the pin.

Phone Jack HP1 Repair the phone jack: 1) Use a hot air gun to melt the solder on the pins. Pin solder with soldering iron and absorber. You can gently push down with the soldering iron once everything is molten to move phone jack out of the through holes. 2) Lift the phone jack from the PCB.
